I use the actual version of komport 0.5.9 for a long time on my Opteron system in 64bit-mode.
Now I detected, that is also part of Gentoo packages in 'net-dial'.
amd64 should be added, add least as testing (I think its stable).
I'm not involved in development of this packages, I'm jsut a happy user.
