Comment 2 Dieter Verfaillie 2004-10-19 06:38:17 UTC
Hi,

had the same problem, and after some digging around found out I had to change the active compiler profile on my system:

// switch to gcc 3.3 : openoffice apparently doesn't compile with 3.4 yet
# gcc-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.4
// do as told ;-)
# source /etc/profile
// update openoffice-ximian
# emerge -u openoffice-ximian
// switch compiler back
# gcc-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.2

you can list installed gcc profiles with

# gcc-config -l

i've had this:

[1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.3.4
[2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.2 *

hope this is usefull,
Dieter

Which kdelibs version are you using? Also: Can you reproduce the bug? I remember someone else reporting a similar problem, but for him this just went away so it is quite likely this is a problem with your kde setup. You could try a revdep-rebuild and see if that helps.

And the basics: Are you sure you had enough diskspace?

Well, tried to emerge openoffice-ximian today and it resultet as you can see. Currently running kdebase/kdelibs-3.3.1.

well, tailed the original logfile (~25M) so you could get an impression on
what's going wrong here ... Gonna upload the original tommorow
Comment 6 Dave Pretty 2004-11-28 20:24:28 UTC
I just got this as well, with openoffice-ximian-1.3.6.

looking at the error, it appears to be a problem with the ebuild using the moc audio program rather than using the /usr/qt/3/bin/moc from qt.

My quick solution which I'm about to try is to unmerge media-sound/moc (which i don't use). Clearly the proper solution is to fix the ebuild, or make a patch for the source.
Comment 7 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-16 10:48:37 UTC
Is this still an issue with 1.3.7?
Comment 8 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-31 01:19:48 UTC
Need feedback, closing until then
