Description ted.reed 2004-10-17 11:44:05 UTC
Tried with both 2.0.0 and 2.0.2 (2.0.1 failed to read my imap at all, had to downgrade).

Camel debugging output during the filter attempt shows the following:

filtering '[lojban-beginners] Re: Beginner texts' applying rule lojban-beginners mailing list
CamelException.setv(0x859db10, 302, 'No provider available for protocol `email'')

loading error file /usr/share/evolution/2.0/errors/e-system-errors.xml
loading error file /usr/share/evolution/2.0/errors/shell-errors.xml

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Highlight messages to be filtered.
2. Hit Ctrl-Y. (Apply Filters shortcut)

Alternately, I see the same error output when it attempts to automatically filter.

Actual Results:
Message box pops up, declaring an "Error while Filtering Folder".

Description text as noted above says:
No provider available for protocol `email'.

Expected Results:
Filtered my mail.

i suspect it is because there is no "email" provider as there was in 1.4? can you see if it helps to recreate the filter in 2.0.x?
Comment 2 ted.reed 2004-10-18 12:35:38 UTC
I guess I should have noted that it worked fine in 2.0.0 until I upgraded to 2.0.1 then downgraded. I've never even had 1.4 on this system.
Comment 3 Brad Zobrist 2005-01-26 15:56:28 UTC
Evolution corrupts current filters from crash. Recreating filters fixes problem.
Comment 4 Dave Shanker 2005-05-01 13:25:25 UTC
Why was Evolution downgraded? Did 2.0.1 crash before the downgrade was performed? Was 2.0.1 started successfully before the downgrade was performed? Have you has any issues since recreating the filters (I'm assuming you've recreated them as it's been some months since the bug was reported).
Comment 5 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-16 19:12:54 UTC
do you still have this problem with 2.2.1.1?
Comment 6 Stian Skjelstad 2005-06-28 03:34:22 UTC
Is this still a problem in 2.2.1.1 which is available now? If not, please close
