Description Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-17 08:59:30 UTC
- print a warning when emerging package.unmask'ed ebuilds. Users tend to modify and forget about it. At best all user modifications in /etc/portage related to the ebuild of interest would be made visible to the user.

- ebuild foo digest, prints the generated files, but not the hashes. Doing `cat files/digest-foo` to compare with a upstream priovided hash is a unnecessary extra step.
Comment 1 Jason Stubbs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-28 07:26:13 UTC
Putting a hold on feature requests for portage as they are drowning out the
bugs. Most of these features should be available in the next major version of
portage. But for the time being, they are just drowning out the major bugs and
delaying the next version's progress.

Any bugs that contain patches and any bugs for etc-update or dispatch-conf can
be reopened. Sorry, I'm just not good enough with bugzilla. ;)

If someone provides a patch we can look at this again.
