subversion starts to emerge, runs configure, then complains about not being able to find berkeley db 4.0.14 -- although I have other versions of db installed.

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:  
compile failed

Expected Results:  
pull in the dependency OR find the newer libdb package and use it!

Please remerge your apache2, and try again. In the newer versions subversion tries to get the db version that your apr/apu was compiled with.
