Issue: The ebuild for games-mud/kmuddy only lists x86 as a supported architecture. I have tested it on amd64 and it compiles and works fine. Resolution: amd64 (or at least ~amd64) should be added to the list of supported architectures in the ebuild. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
- games-mud/kmuddy-0.6.1 (masked by: missing keyword) - games-mud/kmuddy-0.7 (masked by: missing keyword) which one? also post output of 'emerge --info' please
There was only one ebuild for KMuddy available at the time; it seems to have been games-mud/kmuddy-0.6.1. Also, please note, I'm reporting this on behalf of an amd64-owning friend; I don't have access to his box, and can't easily answer requests for more information. Is there anything else you'd need to know, so I can ask him all at once? I've already asked him to give games-mud/kmuddy-0.7.0 a try when he can, so that we can know whether it works too and should be given at least ~amd64 status. In the meanwhile, here's the output of his emerge --info: Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Portage 2.0.51-r2 (default-amd64-2004.2, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.8-gentoo-r4 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.8-gentoo-r4 x86_64 4 Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r5 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.5-r1 Binutils: sys-devel/binutils-2.15.90.0.1.1-r3 Headers: sys-kernel/linux26-headers-2.6.6-r1 Libtools: sys-devel/libtool-1.5.2-r5 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache distlocks" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp:///ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/ http://gentoo.mirror.sdv.fr http://gentoo.tiscali.nl/gentoo/ ftp://ftp6.uni-muenster.de/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X alsa amd64 apm arts avi berkdb bitmap-fonts cdr crypt dvd dvdr encode f77 foomaticdb gdbm gif gpm gtk imlib java jpeg kde libg++ libwww mikmod motif mpeg multilib ncurses nls nogcj oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png python qt quicktime readline samba sdl slang spell ssl tcpd truetype xml2 xmms xprint xv zlib"
We tested games-mud/kmuddy-0.7 and it compiled and ran just fine on AMD64.
kmuddy-0.7 ~amd64
Terrific! Thank you, Jason! :)
