next thing is for you to take out some of the more ridiculous compiler options from your CFLAGS in make.conf and re-try this. -mfpmath=sse,387 -fforce-addr -ffast-math -mno-align-stringops are good candidates for _complete_ removal. It's been our experience that most people who use these flags found them from some 1337 dude on some online forum who had absolutely NO clue what he was doing. And so the blind lead the blind. If you're going to use such flags, please read the gcc man pages (at the very least!) to see what they actually do. You'll find that the combination above on your architecture is actually detrimenal. Anyway, enough of the soapbox, please try to emerge this with sane CFLAGS and report back here.
Hallo, I tried it with: CFLAGS="-Os -march=pentium3 -pipe" and I get the same bad result. The problem seems to me, that the emerge-system can't find the right name for the compiler. I don't have a programm "c" on my computer as it tries to use. ciao stefan
another additional information: I didn't have any build problem with any other ebuild, therefor I don't understnd, why i have with synaptics such a problem. ciao stefan
This line in the ebuild isn't valid with new gcc-config. s/${CC}/$(gcc-getCC)/ sed -i -e "s:CC = gcc:CC = ${CC}:g" ${S}/Makefile
Need to inherit gcc too.
Okie, this logic was changed in all existing ebuilds. Thanks a lot Donnie. Sorry it took so long.
