a new version (1.0beta7) of akregator was released. cp /usr/portage/net-www/akregator-1.0_beta6.ebuild /usr/portage/net-www/akregator-1.0_beta7.ebuild works fine.

Fails compile with FEATURES=maketest on amd64, but I can live with that for now while it's in beta.  Reported upstream; opened bug #91427 on bugs.kde.org.
