i had udev-038 running with 2.6.8.1-ck8 kernel (with no devfs option enabled),
after a couple of hours, the system hanged up while i was under X, no keyboard availabled, no mouse, i had to reboot manually.
the /var/log/messages shows this:

wait_for_sysfs[5524]: error: wait_for_sysfs needs an update to handle the device '/class/vc/vcs2' properly (4), please report to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>
wait_for_sysfs[5524]: error: wait_for_sysfs needs an update to handle the device '/class/vc/vcsa2' properly (4), please report to <linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>

for vcs and vcsa from 2 to 11.

i don't know if it is gentoo related or if i should report it to linux-hotplug-devel

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot with udev-038
2. wait for variable time
3.

Actual Results:  
system hangs up

Expected Results:  
system runs fine

change priority to normal because i have this kind of messages since i upgrade udev to version >030.

Moreover, i upgrade my kernel to 2.6.8.1-ck9 and so far so good.
Despite that the latest log messages are about udev, it may not be only its fault.

Known udev messages, you can safely ignore them.
