Description Nick Dimiduk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-14 14:50:37 UTC
app-admin/realpath-1.9.10 fails to unpack when keyworded ppc-macos. Unpacking the sources by hand allows for a successful install. src_unpack() needs work because, I think, the file name is not the same as the package name and to the default function will not work.
Comment 1 Nick Dimiduk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-15 11:50:33 UTC
The file name is not the problem here. Unpacking the src manually reveals a tar error: "gnutar: Error exit delayed from previous errors". The source is unpacked fine and manually adding .unpacked to the working directory allows the emerge to finish successfully.

Testing the unpack on an HFSX (case sensative) file system reveals no errors. How do we resolve this kind of problem?

patch for macos

This patch unpacks only what is needed for realpath and thus avoids the tar
errors from unpacking the file "dwww" and the directory "Dwww" onto a
case-insensitive file-system.

Hi Nick. I dont really understand Mac OS filesystems at all, but if this is what
you guys need to do, then it looks OK to me since it doesn't impact the other
platforms.
