This report is to request the following two modifications to the existing ebuild in portage: 1. Update the ebuild from version 3.0.4 to 3.1.3 (latest stable upstream release) 2. Add php-7-3 to the supported USE_PHP statements in the ebuild The 3.1.3 upstream version is the latest: https://pecl.php.net/package/memcached The existing 3.0.4 ebuild does not build against php-7.3 however upstream officially supports php-7.3 from 3.1.0 onwards. PHP 7.3 is still masked in portage so this change will not impact most users anyway. I have tested these changes myself and I can confirm that with these minor changes to the ebuild (adding 7.3 where 7.2 support is specified and also updating the package version) the build completes successfully and the module loads.
