When I either open DDD and then File->Open the cpptest binary or, from gnome-terminal run "ddd cpptest" I get the below message in a dialog box: /var/tmp/portage/glibc-2.3.2-r9/work/glibc-2.3.2/buildhere/csu/crti.S: No such file or directory The code for the hello world program, cpptest.cpp follows: #include<iostream> using namespace std; int main() { cout << "Hello World"; return 0; } Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. g++ cpptest.cpp 2. ddd a.out Actual Results: DDD now gives the error and won't open the file. Using just gdb from the command line works just fine though. You ought to compile your program with -g option.
