Description jman012345 2019-01-01 22:56:47 UTC
Using KDE Connect 1.3.3 with the KDE Connect Android app (version 1.10.1), I'm unable to use the remote input function at all. All other functions work fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pair an Android device with the desktop
2. Select "Remote input"
3. Nothing happens
Actual Results:
Input is not transmitted to the desktop

Expected Results:
Input should be transmitted to the desktop

$ emerge --info kdeconnect

kde-misc/kdeconnect-1.3.3::gentoo was built with the following:
USE="bluetooth handbook -app -debug -mousepad (-selinux) -test -wayland" ABI_X86="(64)"
CFLAGS=""

I rebuilt the package with empty CFLAGS and MAKEOPTS (shown here), but got the same result as before.
Comment 1 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2019-01-01 23:06:50 UTC
CFLAGS and MAKEOPTS are very unlikely to influence something like that.

And did you try to enable USE=mousepad yet?
Comment 2 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2019-01-01 23:17:55 UTC
Please enable USE mousepad for kdeconnect.
Comment 3 jman012345 2019-01-01 23:25:34 UTC
That was it, thank you. I wasn't sure which variables might affect it since I'm fairly new to Gentoo, but I've read before that we should rebuild without any optimizations before reporting a bug.
Comment 4 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2019-01-01 23:28:01 UTC
If you report a crash, or a build issue, yes.

If you're missing a feature, it is likely a USE flag.
