I think it would be also good to add LTS versions for LXD and LXC as these are maybe more suitable for production and are also supported until June 2023.
I was under the impression that we were already doing that for LXC, that is, keeping LXC 2.x around and not clean it from the tree.
I can confirm that LXC is ok with providing LTS versions, but these are surely missing for LXD.
I get it but given that: - I'll want a dedicated VM to test the old branch - Frequent (monthly) releases means there is already maintenance that is above package average - There are currently zero users of LTS lxd on Gentoo - There is already a form of stable/unstable offerings on the 3.x branch ... I don't see an LTS offering providing enough value to justify the additional more-than-double effort.
