Description Byeong-taek Lee 2004-10-12 21:49:00 UTC
I added library into the rhythmbox in the nautilus by context menu.
This worked well in previous version 0.8.7 of rhythmbox.
However, when I emerged new version 0.8.8 of rhythmbox, I cannot find
"add library" context menu in the nautilus.
I hope that I cant add library by context menu.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge rhythmbox.
2.open nautilus
3.click right button on the folder, which has music files.

Actual Results:
no context menu "add library"

Expected Results:
I can look at the context menu, so when i select the menu,
my rhythmbox plays the files in the folder.

from the changelog :

* Don't include nautilus menu item by default [Colin Walters]

I missed the actual switch, but it's a bit overkill anyway. If you open a file in rhythmbox its getting added to the list already...

Is there a way to get this back to normal though? I know that I move my music from a Ripped/Downloads folder to their final destinations, and I would then just right click and "Add to Library." To bring RB to the front, open the import dialog for that program, then re-browse to my directory is a bit overkill IMHO. That's a lot of extra work on my part that I didn't use to have to go through.

you obviously know there is this bug brian, then why create a dupe ? To get us even more bugtraffic ? Think before you act.

Sorry about the dupe. I thought it would be good to close this one, then create a new "enhancement" bug so that this ebuild could possibly be changed/modified. I did *try* to think about it before posting the "dupe." That's why I did it as an enhancement. Again, sorry about this misunderstanding on my part.

if you want this feature placed back into rhythmbox, you should contact the
authors of the program. they removed it for some reason, so you should contact
them. ( or look at the cvs changelog and see if it has been readded for the next
version )
