hi! attached is an ebuild for squidGuard short Description(from the homepage above): squidGuard is a free (GPL), flexible and ultra fast filter, redirector and access controller plugin for squid. It lets you define multiple access rules with different restrictions for different user groups on a squid cache. squidGuard uses squid's standard redirector interface. i would suggest to put it to net-analyzers/squidGuard greetings LordVan
Created attachment 3213 [details] ebuild mentioned before
the file has to be named squidGuard-1.2.0.ebuild!
Created attachment 3225 [details] better ebuild fixed a bug (log dir was not created)
Created attachment 3228 [details] ebuild with permission change for log-dir and db-dir to squid.squid added einfo about blacklists and permissions of db and log-dir and added fowners for these directories

It took too long to schedule this. This report did NOT show up on a query a couple of months ago when other squidGuard ports were added. Gentoo needs to do something to prevent this wasteful duplication of work, as now there are three different people who have worked on this port.
hi! veldy, have you looked at the topic of #gentoo-dev? there was an ebuild freeze..all new ebuilds got set to LATER and RESOLVED that's y u haven't found it in bugzilla(i know it sux .. but it wasn't my fault) greetings, LordVan
Hi Lordvan. I think it's just frustration because of extra work ans watsed work from both our sides. I suggest we look at all three take the best of them and merge into a current squid ebuild. if need be drop mine completely. it was a first attempt so I doubt there is anything really usefull in it. All in all the freeze messed things up a bit. This happens. no point bitching about spoilt milk, lets use the non spoilt milk and bake a cake :))) I know .. bad analogy ;P Henti
