I'm not sure whether patchelf can honestly be marked stable at this point. 5 of the tests fail although that it also true of 0.8. I think something else has broken it.

Ya, that's the main question, I'll leave that one up to you, spotify itself is fine (as much as something with disapearing unmirrorable sources can be).

No longer in portage.

Frankly, by the time a spotify version can be stabled, it's going to be deleted by upstream anyway. I don't think stabling can ever work here.

yep...  I generally am pretty aggressive about stabilizations (see puppet/ansible/openstack) but upstream being unstable for redistribution means  I won't be pushing for stable.
