I only see this IP and name started Dec 9:

Dec 9 12:33:00 albatross rsyncd[31600]: connect from skade.schwarzvogel.de (88.99.5.140)
Dec 9 12:33:00 albatross rsyncd[31600]: rsync denied on module gentoo-portage from skade.schwarzvogel.de (88.99.5.140)
Dec 9 12:33:01 albatross rsyncd[31603]: connect from skade.schwarzvogel.de (88.99.5.140)
Dec 9 12:33:01 albatross rsyncd[31603]: rsync denied on module gentoo-portage from skade.schwarzvogel.de (88.99.5.140)
Dec 9 12:33:05 albatross rsyncd[31743]: connect from skade.schwarzvogel.de (88.99.5.140)
Dec 9 12:33:05 albatross rsyncd[31743]: rsync denied on module gentoo-portage from skade.schwarzvogel.de (88.99.5.140)

Do you always sync to masterportage.gentoo.org?
Did your ipv4 / v6 bits change recently?

Yes, rsync5.de has been doing that for a long time, but when things broke, I might have quickly picked a different mirror to not break things and then forgot. FWIW, my IP hasn't changed in... more than a year, probably.

Now up-to-date again, thanks!

Reopening since the fundamental problem (88.99.5.140/2a01:4f8:173:2c8b::2) is still not on the ACL for masterportage.gentoo.org.

Sorry I have no idea what I was doing before (I swore I checked) but the ACL was outdated. I've updated it. My apologies.

https://mirrorstats.gentoo.org/rsync/#de shows this is good now, so I'm going to close this out. Sorry again for the ACL problem.
