Description FieldySnuts 2004-10-12 06:39:31 UTC
when trying to merge games-fps/doom3-demo-1.1.1282, I am unable to download the file:

emerge doom3-demo
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) games-fps/doom3-demo-1.1.1282 to /
>>> Downloading ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/doom3/linux/doom3-linux-1.1.1282-demo.x86.run
--09:37:30--  ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/doom3/linux/doom3-linux-1.1.1282-demo.x86.run
           => `/usr/portage/distfiles/doom3-linux-1.1.1282-demo.x86.run'

!!! Couldn't download doom3-linux-1.1.1282-demo.x86.run. Aborting.

Visiting this URL with other software (without proxy) gives me 503's and "login rejected".

It only tried this one url, isn't it on the mirrors?

Of course, I try again immediately after submitting, and it's working.

Closing.
