Hello! kdcoker is a nice app, which gives you possibility to dock any application in a tray. It works with kde gnome. Hope you find it useful. Regards, Przemek

Looks good. Any indication on when it'll be in portage?

Created attachment 45787 [details] updated ebuild Updated ebuild to kdocker-1.0. Doesn't need external files.
Created attachment 45813 [details] kdocker-1.0.ebuild (few changes) Daniel - thx for the upgrade! just few changes to the ebuild file: - cxxflags parsed through qmake - doesn't need patch for makefile anymore - desktop file need correction: location of png file and added polish comment [I do not know much about seding... patch ;-) ] - clean locales after the instaltion (with LINGUAS variable) - clean docs - redundant REAMDE and COPYING (all licenses are in /usr/portage/licenses - we do not need extra copy) - RDEPEND is not needed if same as DEPEND Regards, Przemek

Created attachment 52090 [details] kdocker version 1.2 ebuild Updated ebuild for version 1.2 of kdocker.
Hi, kdocker version 1.3 has been released, i made a new ebuild based on the ebuild 1.2 version submitted here for this release. Now locales works properly and the program's pngs are present (moved to into /usr/local/share/kdocker/icons) included the kdocker.desktop too
Created attachment 55451 [details] kdocker version 1.3 ebuild new version of kdocker's ebuild based on the old one submitted here
Created attachment 55455 [details] kdocker-1.3.ebuild (with tweaks) x-drum thx for update! I look into ebuild and have more suggestions: - use a patch I provided before (ebuild was broken ;-) ) - I added a patch for instalation directory, so we can use einstall in ebuild - langpacks are being install, only if they are needed (which means - if they are in LINGUAS viariable; just like in the rest KDE apps) - added options to QMAKE for parsing C{,XX}FLAGS from /etc/make.conf And thats all :) Regards, Przemek
Created attachment 55456 [details, diff] kdocker-desktop_file.patch (new version) with GenericName[pl] translation
Created attachment 55457 [details, diff] kdocker-installdir.patch for proper usage of einstall
please add ~amd64 keyword to the last ebuild (kdocker-1.3.ebuild (with tweaks)) this package is working properly on my amd64 installation
Created attachment 70242 [details] kdocker-1.3.ebuild (with tweaks) only difference to previous version : ~amd64 keyword was added. thx to Alessio Cassibba (X-Drum) Regards, Przemek
@Przemyslaw Maciag: thanks for the update! how I can help to get kdocker commited in portage?
(In reply to comment #17) > @Przemyslaw Maciag: > thanks for the update! no problem. it's good to now, that someone is using it :) > how I can help to get kdocker commited in portage? now we have to wait - maybe some developer will come, that wants to mentain this ebuild or I become a developer (hopefully - not far from now ;) https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104750 ) Thx once again! PS. Every time you try some ebuild that is here on bugzilla - give a comment, that it works (or not ;) ). It helps devs a lot! Cheers, Przemek
Works find, although the kde feedback icon stays for some time after docking a window/app, even if the app is already docked, which is a bit annoying.
find -> fine
The fix for that is to add the line X-KDE-StartupNotify=false to the .desktop file. Works perfectly for me.
(In reply to comment #21) > The fix for that is to add the line > X-KDE-StartupNotify=false > to the .desktop file. > > Works perfectly for me. > I think this should be added to the ebuild. Btw, I am waiting from a long time :)

BTW. kdocker-1.3 sources have changed (some translation files was added), but no r-up was made. Best regards, Przemek

hi, i'm using this package on amd64 since 2005-10-09 is possible to remove ~amd64 and commit it in the portage tree? thanks
(In reply to comment #26) > hi, > i'm using this package on amd64 since 2005-10-09 > is possible to remove ~amd64 and commit it in the portage tree? we can _assume_ ( ;) ) that package is stable, if it was in portage for at least 30 days. as you know - kdocker wasn't in portage even a single day. so for the short answer : it's impossible ;) anyway - changes: - kdocker doesn't link to kdelibs (or any other kde part); this is qt app - added linguas IUSE - added some options to qmake - corrected DEPEND/RDEPEND If you can - test ebuild, before I'll commit it. Cheers, Przemek
Created attachment 101633 [details] kdocker-1.3.ebuild missing ebuild (from my previous post ;) ).
Looking into previous ebuilds attached here : have anyone test kdocker on ppc? May I add it keyword safely? Cheers, Przemek
Created attachment 101634 [details] kdocker-1.3.ebuild cleanups: - lrealease to src_compile - translations doins inside src_install Cheers, Przemek
Created attachment 101636 [details] kdocker-1.3.ebuild cleanups: - install translation, only when ebuild is aware of it (for future bumps) _and_ valid linguas_XX is set
In CVS. Cheers, Przemek
