Description schmotzer 2004-10-11 02:17:16 UTC
bootstrap fails when downloading protector-3.3.2-2.tar.gz and on imb site there is only protector-3.3.2-3.tar.gz. After changing the ebuild to download 3.3.2-3.tar.gz and than there was error applying patches.

this bug is falsely stated the package is hosted by the mirrors which is downloaded just fine please emerge sync then try updating your system once again you will see that the patch is downloaded without problem.

This happened to me also - commenting out the GENTOO_MIRRORS line in /etc/make.conf allowed the install to continue. Repeated "emerge --sync"s had no effect; only commenting out the mirrors line got around this.
