I'm trying to work my way through the home router howto. I got everything to work until I got to the NAT section, which requires "iptables", First of all, "iptables" isn't installed by default, so I had to emerge it. Second, I'm running a 2.6 kernel, specifically 2.6.8-gentoo-r7. Apparently the "ip_tables" module doesn't get built by default, and it wasn't clear what I needed to do in "menuconfig" to get it to build. So I would like some additions on kernel building options required for "iptables" usage.
the router tells you to `emerge iptables` so that argument is INVALID Code Listing 2.2: Network Options that lists all the info for iptables
