Description Jonathan Wilzig 2004-10-09 15:08:46 UTC
emerge xscreensaver failed with an error compiling xscreensaver-getimage.c
After going through the output, it appears that libglade is needed for this. I installed libglade and xscreensaver built fine. I tried the following ebuilds w/o libglade
4.14-r2
4.15
4.16

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -C libglade (if present)
2. emerge xscreensaver
3.

Actual Results:
emerge xscreensaver fails

Expected Results:
I believe the ebuild should list libglade as a required package for xscreensaver

What version of xscreensaver are you trying to emerge, I wasn't able to reproduce this one. Also, your use flags could be a helpful hint here. It might be pulling in support and the ebuild is incorrect in that manner.

Erm, sorry, I misread your above comment, let me check on the other ebuilds and get back to you :)

I tried all 3 ebuilds, and all of them build fine on my Ultra 1. We need more information to solve this one. Please post your emerge info.

I can no longer repro this any any of my systems. Feel free to close it as no one else is complaining. Don't want you wasting cycles on this.

Thanks.
