It seems that the packagecloud server that the flirc developers are using for their distribution-specific files is not longer allowing the download "429 Too Many Requests" I'm currently rewriting the ebuild to use the "generic" linux archives.
Created attachment 551662 [details] new ebuild using "Linux Generic" archives Using "linux generic" archives for ebuild. However those do not contain any other files than the binary. For the udev rules and the desktop file I don't see any issue regarding copyright etc by including them in the files directory. However there might be some concern about including the desktop icon that way, currently requesting clarification and help with some other issues with flirc support. Providing the preliminary ebuild with desktop icon install commented in case someone urgently needs the latest version (or any version at all ..:)
Created attachment 574496 [details] v3.22.2 new ebuild (disabled ARM as the archive file has a different path layout not including version number)
