Description syamajala 2004-10-07 12:42:57 UTC
Autoconf gets downgraded to 2.13 when trying to upgrade with portage. Mac OS X 10.3.5 comes with autoconf 2.57

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. ekeyword ppc-macos /usr/portage/sys-devel/autoconf/autoconf-2.59-r4
2. FEATURES="-collision-protect" emerge autoconf
3.

Actual Results:
The version of autoconf that portage gets compiles fine, but it downgrades the
version that ships with os x.

Expected Results:
Mac OS X's autoconf should have been upgraded to 2.59.

Portage 2.0.51_rc7 (default-macos/ppc/10.3, gcc-3.3, libsystem-7.1-r0, 7.5.0

Sorry! It does work. I did not know autoconf is a symlink. Found autoconf-2.59 in /usr/bin

Looks like this isn't a bug.

Closing out bugs that've been resolved for a while now...
