Autoconf gets downgraded to 2.13 when trying to upgrade with portage. Mac OS X 10.3.5 comes with autoconf 2.57 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. ekeyword ppc-macos /usr/portage/sys-devel/autoconf/autoconf-2.59-r4 2. FEATURES="-collision-protect" emerge autoconf 3. Actual Results: The version of autoconf that portage gets compiles fine, but it downgrades the version that ships with os x. Expected Results: Mac OS X's autoconf should have been upgraded to 2.59. Sorry! It does work. I did not know autoconf is a symlink. Found autoconf-2.59 in /usr/bin
