Description Forza 2018-09-18 20:46:09 UTC
Currently there is no ebuild for pecl-inotify. Inotify is needed for example with Nextcloud's inotify app to monitor changes in external storages.

I have followed the guide at
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-823978-view-previous.html
https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=58979

This works with php 7.1 but unfortunately not with php 7.2.

It does work to follow the the guide in the previous message with >=sys-devel/libtool-2.4.6-r5

pecl-inotify-2.0.0.ebuild

Using it for Nextcloud with external storage on local path (daft as that sounds) and the files_notify app.

Note that you need to restart PHP otherwise Nextcloud won't install the files_notify app as the inotify library is not available in running PHP processes.

Would you mind to join project GURU and add the ebuild there?
