Description Derek Hardwick 2004-10-06 14:49:17 UTC
After doing an "emerge courier-imap", the daemon fails to authenticate users by default. I left /etc/pam.d/imap file to it's default settings, along with the /etc/courier-imap/authdaemonrc (which includes "authpam" in the authmodulelist).

pam is one of my USE flags.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge courier-imap
2. /etc/init.d/courier-imap-ssl start
3. Follow instructions to generate SSL key
4. /etc/init.d/courier-imap-ssl start
5. Login with your IMAP client of choice (evolution in my case)

Actual Results:
Evo just keeps prompting me for my password, as it is rejected.

Expected Results:
Authenticated me.
