i think it would be nice to have that patch included. it helps mutt to recognize pgp-sigs attached in plain text at bottom of message (obsolete standard, but still used by some people). additionally it's off by default and require extra option in muttrc to start working, so it's transparent for people, who doesn't need that functionality. patch is available under: http://www.pizzashack.org/mutt/ and works fine with current mutt version (1.5.6-r4), which i've tested it on.
