It just got dissapeared from the menus, despite equery shows it exists. It is the regression agains -r0, as I do not see the problem with 1.3.10

I would assume you have ~/.local/share/applications/telegramdesktop.desktop . That was created by the internal updater and is wrong for -r1. Removing that file might solve your problem.
The .desktop file provided by the internal updater now points to the wrong location.

Could you please also tell us which desktop environment you are talking about. Assuming it is the .local/ .desktop file, i can not reproduce the issue on plasma/kde5.

strange, but with kde it works fine and with xfce whisker menu it does not (both local desktop files were removed), seems not common, will try to dig up more

This one is closed now, but did you find out what was causing the problem?
