In order to maintain consistancey and a good user experiance I think its time to port the Gentoo MacOS portage GUI to gnome or kde widgets for non-apple systems.

We currently have no GUI yet :-)

There is the iPortage wxPython thing we created a few months ago. It runs without problem on all supported gentoo architectures and platforms.

We'll take this suggestion into account when updating our roadmap. Thnxs.

For further information the GUI I was talking about was featured in this interview with the Gentoo PPC founder Pieter Van den Abeele.
