Description Ján Regeš 2018-07-18 09:41:27 UTC
Hi,

few years ago (from 2010) there were some attempts to put PageSpeed (https://www.modpagespeed.com/) into Gentoo (see issues below).

PageSpeed is really very useful package, which brings great value for websites. With PageSpeed module installed to Nginx, our websites have ranking 90-100% instead of 50-70% in Google PageSpeed, YSlow, GTMetrix, Pingdom... It has really great benefits for all website visitors, with minimal effort of developers or DevOps.

Here are real examples (before/after) of technical benefits of PageSpeed: https://www.modpagespeed.com/examples/

Unfortunately, PageSpeed is ready for Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS, but not yet for Gentoo.

Is here someone interested in PageSpeed?

Thank you for your support.

From https://www.modpagespeed.com:
"The PageSpeed Modules, mod_pagespeed and ngx_pagespeed, are open-source webserver modules that optimize your site automatically."

But since we have open bugs for both, what exactly do you expect Ján to happen here? :)
