Description Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-01 01:31:00 UTC
In section 4b, the documentation should show the apple_partition_map as hda1. The bootstrap should be placed at hda2 instead. Removing the apple_partition_map would lead to removing the partitions, which is a "bad thing". At the very least, this causes user confusion. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Reproducible: Always

changed it, thanks JoseJX
Comment 2 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-02 17:24:32 UTC
That's closer, thanks SeJo. :)

As far as I know, the oldworld machines need the partition map as well. Also, the partition type isn't bootstrap, it would more acurately be described as Partition Map, to prevent people from trying to create a bootstrap partition in that space.

ok added to oldworld, and changed (bootstrap) to (Partition Map), sorry overlooked that one... guess the PPC meeting was still in my blood :-)

greetings,

if anything else wrong on this topic reopen then...
