Becouse gnustep-libs/artresources is monolitic package, need to split it. IMHO, it's posible simple add nfont wrapper to font packages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
gnustep-libs/artresources is solely used for good default fonts -- the gnustep-base/gnustep-back-art backend package would be totally useless for a regular user w/o some default fonts. If you need mknfonts, it's located at gnustep-base/mknfonts. So, if you meant "need to spilt up .nfont files and mkfonts program" that is already done. I'll mark this bug INVALID tomorrow, unless I hear back from the bug submitter. Adding .nfont creation scripts to other font packages in portage is a great idea, and can be done in time.
I propose to make wrappers for standard fonts. I was make some wrappers.
Closing this bug. Further gnustep nfont related requests should be added to bug 66241.
