Comment 4 Dmitry S. Kulyabov 2004-10-01 00:37:13 UTC
I don't find freefont in portage tree.
Comment 5 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-01 04:57:57 UTC
i assumed it was the same pack as freefonts

the ebuild needs to be adapted to the current eclass

Could you explain what this files/extra/fonts/gnustep/version/20020306/nfont.tar.bz2 is for?
Comment 7 Armando Di Cianno (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-03 13:32:36 UTC
This is an example font package showing what the fonts.eclass the submitter has modified in bug 65634 can do.

I'm not sure if the method used will work across the bored, though. nfont's for GNUstep have to definitely be set up by a packager to make sure things look right/make sense. The GNUstep mknfonts tools facilitates this, but the process is not fully automatic.

However, I like the idea of adding a "gnustep" use flag to font packages in portage that I, or others, have packaged for use with GNUstep. This bug, is invalid, but the idea behind it is sound.

Moving gnustep nfont related issues to bug 66241.
