Description Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2004-09-30 03:01:59 UTC
HOMEPAGE points to http://www.vix.com/ but that site contains no reference to cron anymore.
Comment 1 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-30 04:10:43 UTC
reopen with a better suggestion.
Comment 2 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2004-10-03 05:05:20 UTC
Anything will be better than http://www.vix.com/. How about the following:
http://sources.isc.org/utils/admin/cron_at
Comment 3 Aaron Walker (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-04 05:39:23 UTC
That's not any better, as it's almost 5 years old (1999), IMO. I think it does need to be changed, however. The best thing I can find is ftp://ftp.isc.org/isc/cron/. At least the latest version is there.

I don't think this package really *has* a homepage. That's mostly why it took us so long to realise there was a newer version, wasn't until I received an email from the author that I knew 4.x existed... Hm, I guess the ftp:// URL will do unless anyone has a better idea. I'll update when I do -r2 (probably a day or two).

Aaron -- you're getting roped in as co-maintainer for this :)

I had a better idea. I emailed Paul Vixie and asked him.

I'm game. CC me on any vixie bugs I don't get to first.

That works.

No reply, 4.1-r2 fixed with the ftp:// url.
