emerge dev-texlive/texlive-basic fails at compilation phase with following message:

Same problem here. the luatex USE flag is dis

(Sorry for the incomplete post before. In the process of rebuild my PC, still works a bit quirky.)

Here luatex ist disabled by default, but is still called apparently. Disabling it explicitly did have no effect, either.

Same error with USE=-luajittex
