when you run spamassassin 3.0.0-* by amavisd-new and use pyzor or dcc this connections get an time out after 10 seconds.

at the starting process everything looks quite good but for all following messages the checks timed out

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. run amavisd debug-sa
2. send a message to the server

Actual Results:
DCC -> timed out after 10 seconds
Pyzor -> timed out after 10 seconds

Expected Results:
check the mail against a server and get a result

I just noticed that spamassassin belongs to perl herd, reassigning. Sorry for the inconvenience. Keeping net-mail in CC.

This patch went into 3.0.1 which is available through the portage tree. Thanks for extracting the patch anyway.
