Description crusaderky 2004-09-28 14:36:29 UTC
I've got
avidemux-2.0.28
sdl-image-1.2.3
jpeg-6b-r3

1)I open a video with avidemux. I've tried with 320x240, 352x240 and 720x480.
2)File->Save->Save Images->Save JPEG image
3)I try to open the exported image using SDL_image. It will fail, saying "unsupported format".

I've tried opening it with several other programs (Gimp-2.0, GQView, KDE) and all work well. However, I can't completely exclude it's an avidemux "relaxed" implementation of the standard without examinating the JPEG with a hex editor and comparing it to the RFCs... which I definitely don't have time to do :P

Hi!
Could you please test this with a newer version of avidemux/jpeg.
Thanks,
Marc.

avidemux-2.0.38_rc3-r1 completely freezes when trying to export a JPG.

what about 2.0.40?

avidemux-2.0.40 export works, but the original problem isn't solved.

avidemux-2.0.40
sdl-image-1.2.3-r1

Try to contact the two upstream and see which one is doing nasty things, it's not a Gentoo problem probably.
