Please re-open with an explanation of what this eclass does and why it is necessary

This eclass for uniform placement (in ${FILESDIR}) and automatic installation additional files, z.B. init-scripts etc.

Frankly, this looks useless to me.  Until I hear a dev needing it to provide functionality not already available in portage, I'm not putting it in.
