Description Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2018-05-22 15:25:38 UTC
While usually the inkscape pdf import was rock-solid, since upgrading to poppler-0.64 I see some problems.

Specifically, fonts that are of type "CID (embedded)" seem to disappear.

* Recent poppler changes (0.63 to 0.64) touched that area, and
* inkscape uses internal poppler interface...
-> fun!

[I am currently trying to port app-text/pdf2htmlEX and see similar problems there.]

Heh. Seems like the text objects are imported with height zero.

That actually makes somewhat sense, since the internal poppler functions got an additional parameter (surprise!) height... Maybe someone took an easy way out when porting.

Is this fixed in master or reported upstream?

Fixed in upstream 0.92.x branch, and in our 0.92.3-r1.

(Let's give it some time to verify that.)
