Comment 1 Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-29 16:51:16 UTC
is this not a fluxbox bug?
Comment 2 postmodern 2004-09-29 17:36:50 UTC
Well rhythmbox has been the only app to do this ever. I suspect its in the code that does the WM handshacking to smallify the display. I have hunch the problem lies in shell/rb-shell.c (rb_shell_sync_window_state) but I'm not to apt with gdk/gtk code to verify it.
Comment 3 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-12 08:59:01 UTC
Can someone make sure this is not an amd64 only problem ?
Comment 4 Justin Jones 2004-11-15 20:03:19 UTC
I have this problem as well, also on amd64. So that doesn't really confirm anything :)
Comment 5 Edward Glen 2004-11-19 21:51:17 UTC
I also have this problem on x86 (Athlon). Can't figure out how to get it back into normal mode so I can actually use it tho... F8 doesn't work and I've tried unmerging and remerging as well as hunting down every config file I can find... any hints?
Comment 6 Justin Jones 2004-11-21 19:22:14 UTC
The hotkey for small mode changed from F8 to Ctrl-D a while ago, not sure what version.
Comment 7 Justin Jones 2004-11-21 19:23:23 UTC
Also, I imagine the small mode/not small mode setting is probably in gconf
Comment 8 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-06 03:56:38 UTC
reassigning to commonbox so they have a look
Comment 9 Christopher Covington 2005-11-04 16:52:25 UTC
I have this same problem using evilwm. Unless flux and evil have the same bug or
lack of implementation, I'd assume the problem is in the rhymthmbox code.
Thankfully control+D brought back the full interface. Best of luck bug-stomping!
Comment 10 Ciaran McCreesh 2006-02-19 01:05:41 UTC
If it happens under evilwm too it's not a commonbox bug.
Comment 11 Ward Schmit 2006-04-09 03:58:39 UTC
I don't know if WindowLab shares code with Fluxbox, but I've the same problem under WindowLab. However, under FVWM it works correctly...
Comment 12 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-02 00:26:44 UTC
with rhythmbox 0.9.5/0.9.6 and fluxbox-1.0_rc2-r2, I am not able to reproduce this bug.

Can you try with these versions ?
