Having trouble getting gphoto2 to compile with libexif support. Will try to get the updated gphoto2 into portage and update later with exif support, when working.
Created attachment 3934 [details] libexif-0.5.6.ebuild Robert, could you try if this one works for you ? Regards, Rigo
I think I found the problem: During my config: Configuration (libgphoto2): Source code location: . Version: 2.1.1dev6 Compiler: gcc Build API documentation: no (not requested) pkg-config: yes EXIF support: yes (>= 0.5.4) Use ltdl.h: yes /proc/meminfo: available Look@the version ;-) Included ebuilds, who use dev-snapshots (needed them to try my Ixus V2 with gphoto2) from Hans Ulrich (http://n-dimensional.de/projects/digicam/software/snapshots/) For me these work...(for dev4 anyway, trying now with new source .dev6 --> It promises support for my V2 :-D) !! This is still in the pipeline.. we're in a freeze, no new packages (libgphoto2) can get added.
Hmm. Wonder why I didn't get any of the updates from 9/16 on emailed to me. Anyway, talked to an EXIF devel and couldn't get 2.1.0 working but as is pointed out above 2.1.1dev works. This is a CVS version so YMMV. Will look at updating the ebuilds for everything when 2.1.1 is released. Spider I would just release 2.1.0 and you could mask the 2.1.1dev if needed if 2.1.1 doesn't come out before the freeze is over.
well, the freeze is on added ebuilds as well.. meaning.. nothing new gets in unless its critical
