I have attached a new ebuild and patch file that work fine in my overlay. As far as this being a dead upstream, it is a pack of icon image files. It doesn't really matter much if anyone is updating it. The only real problem was the packaging. The patch file was half way there but the ebuild file didn't bother to apply it.
