Comment 1 Sebastian Pipping gentoo-dev 2020-03-04 23:05:06 UTC
pypy(2) support has been dropped in the meantime, only pypy3 is left:

# fgrep PYTHON_COMPAT *.ebuild
regex-2017.04.05.ebuild:PYTHON_COMPAT=( python2_7 python3_{6,7} )
regex-2017.04.05-r1.ebuild:PYTHON_COMPAT=( python2_7 python3_{6,7} pypy3 )
regex-2019.11.1.ebuild:PYTHON_COMPAT=( python{2_7,3_{6,7,8}} pypy3 )
regex-2020.2.20.ebuild:PYTHON_COMPAT=( python{2_7,3_{6,7,8}} pypy3 )

I'm therefore closing as obsolete.
