Attached you will find rtlfree-sources-2.4.19.2.ebuild, and a tar-ball
of the rtlfree-sources/files directory which contain the necessary
patches (~37 files).

rtlfree-sources is the Gentoo port of the real-time kernel/modules
RTLinux-Free(3.2_pre2+patches) which has been patched into
sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.4.19*.

I have attempted to conform to the conventional
sys-kernel/XXX-sources naming and placement of the Gentoo port of
RTLinux-Free.

note: I have not gotten a response from the folks at kernel.org
regarding naming conventions (see bug# 64473), so I mad my best
guess...

FSM Labs uses there own license...  So, it is provided for inclusion in the
portage/licenses list as FSMLabs.

I have gone through and added all patches to bring the kernel version in sync with 2.4.19_r22

There is also an issue with FSM Labs using a registration download site for access which currently breaks the ebuild download.  Anyone have a place/preference for download mirrors? 

If Gentoo is going to include this please let me know otherwise I am simply going to move onto other things and simply drop this.

Ahhh... I just noticed that sys-kernel no longer supports 2.4.19...  So should I assume that noone wishes to deal with RTL-Free?  I would like to resolve this so I can either get this working or know I should simply walk away.

It won't be added unless a Gentoo developer comes and adopts it. It's unlikely that the kernel team will do this anytime soon (lack of resources).
The other option is for you to apply to become a Gentoo developer, if you feel that you have the motivation and would be committed to this and a few other similar responsibilities. Sorry if you feel your work is being ignored..

Also 2.4.19 is too out of date really, we'd want it to be based on the latest kernel sources.
