Window icon is not shown in (Plasma) Wayland session. It would work if desktop file was named retroshare.desktop, however, gentoo ebuild creates retroshare-retroshare.desktop Reproducible: Always
It's fine in Xorg sessions. Desktop file name generated automatically, so i think that only hack with renaming in after creating will help :-(

In Xorg sessions window icon source is different. Only on Wayland window icon comes from desktop file. This was actually a problem for many Qt applications but many of more popular ones are already fixed.
