Description Eric Shattow 2004-09-25 14:32:03 UTC
k3b-0.11.17 looks for arts/kartsdispatcher.h which is not in /usr/kde/3.3/include after upgrading to kde-base/arts-1.3.0

i run an ~x86 setup, so this bug has likely not hit the general userbase yet.

SUGGESTED FIX: k3b needs to be patched, or told to look in /usr/kde/3.2/include

Bug #65319 is also similar.
Comment 2 Eric Shattow 2004-09-25 15:48:18 UTC
Summary was: ERROR: app-cdr/k3b-0.11.17 failed, after kde-base/arts-1.3.0 upgrade

Changed to make this reflect the relation to other packages broken by arts upgrade. The breakage is the same, I figure this is the best way to do it for now.

You didn't post your emerge info. Is arts in your use flags?

Yes.

These files are installed by kdelibs and not by arts. Are you sure that you have emerged kdelibs with the arts useflag?

If yes, you can try reemergin kdelibs and looking at the configure output if it reports some problems about arts detection.

i will poke it some more this evening
Comment 7 Eric Shattow 2004-10-01 00:54:41 UTC
unmerged kdelibs, merged kdelibs, merged k3b.

no problems now.
