If the android-sdk is installed when using a Samsung printer, udev rules are installed in `/lib64/udev/rules.d/80-android.rules` that will change the group ownership of the printer's character device to the android group. This causes printing to fail with the statement that the printer is busy. I have documented this in the wiki: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Printing#USB_Printer_is_not_detected This is related to bug #644636. However, I am filing it separately because this is a reporting issue while the former is a bug that makes us wish that our reporting was better. I do not expect CUPS to be able to identify permissions issues, but I would like an error message more along the lines of "Printer not found. Verify that the printer is connected and that its permissions in /dev/bus/usb are correct.".
