Thank you for your contribution. I had a short look on the ebuild. Here a few ideas: * Please test the ebuild with repoman full -x https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Repoman * We always try to use the latest EAPI, please bump to EAPI=6 * You can drop eutils then * many lines miss ||die, the rm commands for example * Please be more specific in the DESCRIPTION. The objective description may be <=80 characters long.

[ https://bugs.gentoo.org/627666#c8 ] Currently up-to-date and perfectly working versions of vmware-workstation: c.f. - Bug 663670 and - Bug 671218 HINT concerning vmware-player: - just install above; - vmware-player will be included :-)
