The attal devs released 0.9
From the site:

The whole Attal's team is pleased to announce the 0.9 release of Attal.
 As planned, a lot of new things have been added and/or fixed: 
Sets flags for lords on map 
Manage sounds effects 
More user-frendly informations on game (turn, resources, etc...) 
Management of 'far' cells in path 
Improve townhall inside building (for buying other buildings) 
Improved AI 
Save game implemented 
Population management 
Clean-up of code 
Management of experience in game 
Very basic campaign management (add an editor) 
Bug fixing 
You can get this release through cvs (module 'src2' with tag ATTAL_0_9_0 and module 'themes' with tag THEMES_0_9_0). Packages and binaries will be available from the Sourceforge's File Release System (direct link from our 'Download' part).
